Kole Medwid emerged at the top of the C class at the 2017 Motoplayground Race at Ponca City, finishing every single moto on the podium between 125 C, 250 C, and 250 C Jr. The Missouri native’s consistency kept him on the box in each and every race, executing solid starts to put him in position to finish on the box at each and every opportunity throughout the weekend. Although he spent a lot of time on the podium on Saturday and Sunday, the Yamaha rider’s greatest success came in the 250 C Jr class where he put together a second and first place finish in order to earn the title ahead of Colorado’s Jaylend McCarty. Medwid put himself in an optimal position at the beginning of the second 250 C Jr heat race, grabbing the hoelshot ahead of Michael Sandoval and Jadon Cooper. The three of them were tightly knit in a closely contested battle for the top spot, forcing Medwid into a mistake
