JACOB WEIMER
450 SX / 11TH
IMAGE / LANNAN WORDS / ARMSTRONG DESIGN / WILSON
>> The #12 of Jake Weimer was almost left without a ride for the 2017 season. Thankfully he was able to secure a fill in ride with JGR Suzuki and has been able to stay with that team for the whole duration of the season. Weimer was able to get two second place starts this weekend in Seattle, one in his Heat and one in the Semi. The former Lites Supercross Champ stumbled back to 5th in his heat, just one spot out of a direct transfer to the main event, but in the semi he was able to finish where he started. @jakeweimer12 put in his second best result of the year with an 11th place finish in Seattle, and his 7th top 15. I know it sounds weird hearing Jake’s name so far back into the pack but the field this season is better than ever. I mean future hall of famer Chad Reed is only 4 positions higher than Weimer in the championship standings, the field is deep. On the plus side of everything, Jake has proved once again that he is a great candidate for either a fill in ride or a full time ride on a smaller team in 2018. Weimer has been in every main event this year and teams look for that when they’re contemplating a rider for their team.
