>> Malcolm Stewart has certainly showed that he has the speed to be a top 5 competitor but hasn’t been able to complete a 20 minute +1 lap main event yet. The 450 rookie has been a constant threat in the heat races and he has proved that he is capable with running with the best riders the world has to offer.
The Ride365/Seven Mx Suzuki rider got to 3rd place right away in his heat
race and threw seemed to have it a transfer to the main locked up. On the final lap Malcolm went down and couldn’t get back up in time to make it feasible to transfer out of the heat. In the Semi M.Stewart came around the first corner in 4th place and was able to quickly make his way to 2nd. Mookie got his privateer Suzuki to a 5th place start in the main event and was running 4th position for the first 5 minutes until Eli Tomac made his way past. The reigning 250 East Coast Champ was starting to get shuffled back a few positions just after the mid way point but was still hanging tough for another top 10 finish. When Blake Baggett made his way around the rookie something happened and Malcolm went from 8th to 15th with under 2 minutes + 1 lap remaining. I don’t know what @malcol- mstewart has planned for the Motocross season but I personally think we could see a top 5 guy.
