>> 2017 has been josh Hansen’s comeback season. After not seeing him in the circuits for some time he came back more ready than ever to get back up on that podium. Sitting 13th in points with a best finish of 7th Hansen has had his work cut out for him this season. With just a couple rounds left this year the Kawasaki rider is looking to break into that top five before the last check- ered flag is waved for 2017. Starting round 7 of the West coast 250 class Han- sen got a good start in his qualifier sitting right around 4th. Maintaining this position for almost the entirety of the heat race but with just a few seconds left he fell back to fifth where he finished. Transferring into the main event Hansen was charged up and ready for the good racing Seattle had to offer. Getting a great gate pick for the main Hansen was able to charge into the first turn right with the front runners. Through lap one he was sitting all the way up in 6th, but by lap two had fallen back to 10th. Losing ground quickly the Kawasaki rider needed to find the time he was losing and quickly. Right around the fourth
lap he fell back to 12th where he stayed for several laps. Making mistakes throughout the main event cost Hansen big by the time he crossed the finish line back in 14th. Starting the race out strong it was a bummer for Hansen seeing him finish so far back in the back.
