Aaron Plessinger would be celebrating his first career heat race win at Lucas Oil stadium after an intense battle with points leader malcom stewart. Right out of the first turn, Plessinger blasts off ahead of malcom stewart; a desperate battle breaks out between the two as Plessinger fights to claw away from stewart. In the final lap things get close – Plessinger carefully escaping stewart’s advances – he digs deep and finds the distance he needs to win the heat and make his way to the main event.
