With the dust settled, the red plate has found a home for longer than one round for the first time this year in the East series. That’s right, stewart was able to maintain his points lead, actually growing the margin by three points in Indianapolis. starting with heat 2, stewart rode masterfully behind Aaron Plessinger of the star Racing Yamaha team the entire race, gladly picking up the 2nd place ride into the main event. Once the gates dropped on the 15 lap race, the super crucial sweeping first turn seemed tight, with stewart hugging the inside line to secure 4th place by lap 2. Later that same lap, stewart moved into third behind Gannon Audette and Aaron Plessinger, all three out front early.
