KILPATRICK
Placed in 450 heat two, jolly st. Nick found himself buried amongst a field of millenials, and in 15th across the opening chalk. With the handicap sticker dangling from his rear fender, Wey began to slice and dice his way through the field, throwing caution to the wind and placing his scooter into all wheel drive. A valiant effort, but a ninth place was all that
could be mustered by race end; to the semi we go.
Acting as a diesel engine for semi two, Wey found himself sputtering and lethargic for the opening moments and initial obstacles. Once the motor began to warm up, the oil began to disperse and thin out, allowing Nick to operate freely and charge full steam ahead. He sat six for the entire race, only to push the pedal to the floor and inherit a true, last corner gift from a falling Vince Friese. With a fifth place finish, Nick once again secured a spot for a main event run.
The same old song and dance, Wey appeared in his usual collected manner prior to the gate drop of the 450 main. A 17th place start forced him to remain calm as the field began to sort itself out, and he actually gained a spot despite the grueling havoc, sitting 16th on lap four. He would hover here for the entire main event, swapping paint with the likes of Weston Peick, Cade Clason, and Nick Schmidt. The Michigan Mafia captain would leave Naptown with a 17th, eyeing Saint Louis for a place of bettering himself.
