WONDERGOAT
NICK WEY
Who won the first event on the hollowed grounds of speedway, Indiana you ask? John Berry and Paul mccullough. Two historic automobile drivers? Not quite, as it were actually a National Balloon race, the first of its kind. The pilots, steady for 35 hours, kept sight on the
coveted goal, although “Wey” up in the sky, and seemingly by themselves.
The number 27 has the same outlook on Supercross, in a sense. Although he’s endured countless hours of race time, and scrutiny beneath the spotlight, he too has found himself in a place few have embarked on. A place where he’s considered outdated in a young man’s game, yet still has the mental capacity and athletic ability to compete amongst the best.
In a quandary of sorts, Nick has chosen to take back his word of retirement and once again join the playing field. His mind too has kept sight on the goal; not necessarily of winning and relishing in fame, but to reap the efforts of his talents and enjoy what he feels is his calling.
