The track was deteriorating and literally crumbling across every centimeter of terrain, forcing the
world’s top supercross racers to tiptoe through particular sections. Roczen was methodical, hitting
every mark with the precision of a sharpshooter, and reeling dungey in in the process.
Inside, outside, they began to encounter lap traffic as early as lap six. They were setting an absolute blistering pace, as Roczen relentlessly began to inch into Dungey’s view. The crowd would gasp each time Roczen would come into a bike length’s distance of RD.
At the three quarter mark of the race, Roczen’s effort really began to ramp to all time highs, climaxing with an actual overtaking and pass on Dungey, propelling Roczen to the front. The lead was short lived however, as what would be a seemingly normal dragon’s back and double, was now viewed as a treacherous obstacle full of fit’s and heartache, causing Ken to cross-rut, and roll the finish line; consequently returning the lead to Dungey. Fighting with every ounce of being under that Fox uniform, the effort was just a tad bit short, as Dungey would remain composed and take the win. Yet another second reinsures both fans and competition that Roczen is here to stay, and will lunge for race wins at any cost.
