After qualifying for the night show in 24th, Vann martin was eager to line up and bang bars with the best of them. In the heat, martin would get swept into a mess of a start – he would start off the race in 14th position but work his way up two spots into 12th before the finish flag came down. martin found himself in the LcQ, fighting for a trip to the main. A solid start would get martin mid pack, and he would fight for positions from seventh place – he would battle with cartwright to get up into sixth by the final lap. despite his tough charge, he wouldn’t quite make up the gap to the qualifying positions. Although martin didn’t make it to the main, every moment of track time pushes him further to his goals.
