Baggett is a human being that is designed to race a dirt bike. Calm, calculated, driven, motivated, and most of all fast, the # 4 Suzuki has made his mark in the sport and will continue to do so. So far, 2016 has not reflected Blake’s previ- ous season where he finished 5th overall in points in his rookie effort. The crazy fast race pace is no doubt, at it’s highest this
year in the 450 class, and many riders are struggling because of it. 20 laps at race pace is very hard to simulate during the week at the practice tracks. Many teams have different ways of pushing their riders but the sport is ever changing and the intensity is ever increasing. Blake has been plagued with injury in 2016 but now seems to finally be back and getting back up to speed. Last weekend, Baggett put the Suzuki into 10th position late in the Main and was able to achieve his best finish of the year. Blake’s teammate is also back in action and needless to say; team Suzuki is motivated and ready to put in some more top tens or even better results. Blake’s strong suit is of course rougher, ruttier tracks and this weekend in Indy will definitely have some of the deep- est ruts we see on the whole circuit. He stated that the team had made many many changes to the bike and is feeling way better. He should be able to shine in the rutted track and should have a boost of confidence going into the day. Blake will be ready to put down some laps and more importantly, put himself into contention for another top ten in Indy this weekend.
