Jake is doing his best to stay competitive. He has been through some rough times and some very tough times in his 450 career but manages to always keep the smile on his face. With a new baby in his life, Jake has a found
a new appreciation for the sport and is happy to get paid to ride a motorcycle. This year, he has been in the top ten many times already despite a nasty crash in Detroit. He suffered a shoulder injury and has been fighting through the pain and still managing to put the Suzuki in the Main Events. He was able to finally re-find his speed last weekend with a 9th place in Santa Clara. Jake sits very well in points and is tied for 10th position. Now the series is on the up and up for Weimer and he should be determined to stay in the top 10 until the season is over. 9th is a confidence boost for Jake and he will be working hard it up this weekend in Indy.
