JOSH GRANT
IMAGE/JACKEDWARDS
Josh Grant is continuing his fill in ride for Factory Monster Energy Kawasaki for the 2016 outdoor season. It’s a joy to see Grant back on a factory machine for an outdoor series because we all know he is capable of some magical rides to victories. He kicked off the season in Hangtown with very solid and respectable 8-8 moto finishes. He rode really well in both motos en
route to those eighth place finishes. This weekend in Glen Helen he is arguably the favorite to win. Wait, how could a guy who just got to eighth places be the favorite you ask? It’s because Grant is the Glen Helen KING. Through the years we have seen Grant sip out of the fountain of youth at Glen Helen and spout off some wins. Two years ago he shocked everyone by taking the first moto win over the likes of Roczen, Dungey, and Canard. It was a brilliant ride and he gave us another great ride in the second moto of the USGP held at the track last year. He held off the MX1 Champion Romain Febvre in the second moto and came away with 3-1 moto scores falling just short of the overall. He was just edged out by Cooper Webb in moto one or else the overall would have been his. I think it is safe to say all eyes will be on the #33 this weekend in the hill of San Bernardino.
