Justin Bogle came into the motos at Glen Helen with an injury to his hand and was not at 100%. He decided to line it up and grit one out after his twenty first fastest qualifying time. That time was uncharacteristically slow to what he is capable of so it was clear he was not operating at
full capacity. Bogle got a great start in the first moto at Hangtown but could not replicate that in the first moto here at Glen Helen. He emerged from the hectic lap number one in twelfth and did his best to hold his ground. He moved around that position in the first six laps going up to eleventh at one point and then falling backwards to fifteenth. It was clear his hand was hurting him but we was able to lock onto the fifteenth position and he refused to let anyone else around. He held the spot all the way to the end but the energy he expended doing so would force him out of the second moto. The pain from his hand was too much to handle for another moto so we hope we see the ever entertaining Geico Honda rider back and healthy next weekend in Thunder Valley.
