Finishing the 2016 supercross series in 8th, RJ Hampshire has begun the nationals with something to prove. Riding for Geico Honda, expectations are high and patience running thin. Without a doubt, Hampshire has the speed and uses it frequently but has been unable
to sustain the pace of the front pack week after week. At round one last weekend racing at Hangtown, RJ had a tough second moto after finishing the first race in 5th. Moto two saw him buried at the back of the pack in 38th. Luckily, with such a strong opening moto, Hampshire was still able to secure 15th overall and leave the round one with at least some points. Coming into the almighty mounds of Glen Helen in San Bernardino, Hampshire looks to turn up the heat in Southern California.
