Crown clocked consistent lap times at a podium pace and fought his way all the way back to 6th in what was one of the most impressive rides of the weekend. His best individual race came in the first 250 class moto where he was the only rider to match the lap times of Justin Cooper all weekend long, putting pressure on the Yamaha rider throughout the entirety of the moto. But, the holeshot sealed the deal for Cooper and Crown couldn’t find the extra
gear to reel him in, having to settle for 2nd place. The Michiganian rider endured a couple of harmless crashes throughout the weekend while making moves through the pack which somewhat affected his overall results and did it a bit of a disservice to his speed. His best overall finish was in the Open Pro Sport division where he earned a 3rd place, putting on a solid display of how to carry your momentum through the sand on a bike with a smaller displacement than most of his competitors. Crown was consistently one of the fastest riders on the track in the pro class and the weekend could have gone completely different with some better luck.
