DREW ADAMS
51CC LIMITED (4-8)
IMAGE / MPG WORDS / KILPATRICK DESIGN / WILSON
>> The high pitched revs of the mini bikes were up and it was a fierce battle in the first corner that produced Drew Adams as the eventual leader ahead of Mikah Carpenter. The Cobra duo sepa- rated themselves drastically from the rest of the field as they settled into their own pace, as they were the only two riders jumping the catapult. Their style and technique was truly something to behold as they looked as if they were miniature professionals racing on Sat- urday night. Adams slowly but surely built a lead over Carpenter as he was just a touch quicker than the Illinois native. The Tennessee native carried the momentum from his KJSC win and completely dominated the competition, finding a rhythm through the whoops that started with a double-in that no other rider was attempting. The Cobra sited the “very awesome” track in his post race interview that was the secret to his success as he was clearly enjoying himself in the Georgia Dome.
