LOCKY KENNEDY
OPEN B

>> Greye Tate shot out of the gate like a cannon on his Kawasaki and ran it in deep into the first corner which allowed him an out- standing drive through the first rhythm section. He grabbed the advantage early on ahead of the KTM of Locky Kennedy and the two riders began to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. The Georgia native appeared to be right at home on the tacky, clay based soil as he blasted the corners with unmatched aggression, but it still wasn’t enough to get rid of the charging Kennedy. The KTM rider stalked Tate throughout the entirety of the third lap and finally came within striking distance just before the rollers, cutting
a line across the penultimate turn and pulling alongside the Kawa- saki. He was able to run Tate wide and triple into the section, which allowed him the advantage in the final turn just before the catapult. The Georgia native rode with an eagerness and ferocity that only cost him precious time after moving back to second place, most notably losing traction coming back onto the start straight. Kennedy kept it smooth and consistent for the final couple of laps as the pair of them worked their way through lapped traffic and he eventually made his way across the catapult with a multi-second gap as he took a hard-fought victory.
