MINI SR. (12-15)

>> The Mini Sr. class was out to a flyer of a start as Kaeden Amerine grabbed the holeshot by multiple bike lengths over his competition. His lead lasted for the majority of the first rhythm section, but Jett Reynolds was able to work his magic heading into the second corner and execute
a block pass on the Rides Unlimited KTM rider. Amerine remained stead- fast and kept up a fiery pace behind the Team Green Kawasaki rider, but ended up sliding out in the second to last corner before the rollers. Conse- quently, Reynolds inherited an incredibly sizable advantage at the front of the field and was able to ride his own race without any outstanding pres- sure from the competition. Amerine made amends for his mistake after briefly dropping back into third position, utilizing the same maneuver that Reynolds used against him in order to regain second position from Jay- lend McCarty. Meanwhile, the Team Green Kawasaki rider continued the dominance that he had displayed throughout the day as he stretched his lead over the Kansas native in second place to approximately one entire section of race track. The California native was not to be denied his third main event victory of the day as he kept it smart and consistent once he reached lapped traffic. He had adapted his line in the rollers, tripling into the section before the finish line which allowed him to maintain his advan- tage over Amerine. The KTM rider made an impressive charge on the final laps as they carved their way through lapped traffic, but his mistake at the beginning of the race ultimately cost him the chance to battle for the win and Reynolds went on to take his third main event victory of the day.
