>> The final Schoolboy moto of Motofest was set to be a barn burner as the Yamaha duo of Kevin Hill and Tristan Lewis shot out to an early advantage ahead of the Husqvarna of Jackson Gray. The leading trio undoubtedly had a speed advantage on the rest of the pack as they opened up a gap in the early stages of the race. The battle for the lead did not disappoint as Hill stalked Lewis for the first couple of laps before finally applying some serious pres- sure. He squared up his fellow Yamaha rider before the rollers section and used an outside line before the catapult in order to pull alongside him over the finish line. The two of them almost came to- gether in the previous corner, but instead they hung in the air side- by-side. Lewis was able to use the inside rut heading back onto the start straight in order to secure the advantage and he immediately put his head down, charging forward with a clear track ahead of him. Meanwhile, Gray made the move around Hill for second posi- tion and attempted to track down the leader, but the accumulated gap didn’t allow him to get a sniff of the victory. Lewis kept things in check at the front of the field and grabbed the checkered flag with a healthy advantage over second place as he grabbed the main event win.
