>> The final main event of Motofest got underway with a bang as the Beginner class banged bars down the start straight on entry to the first corner. The Suzuki of Logan Stokes gained the early ad- vantage as he escaped the carnage that occurred in the second corner, immediately building an advantage over the rest of the pack. The battle for second position was tight between the Honda of Cole Farist and the Kawasaki of Warren Johnson as the two of them rode side-by-side with each passing corner. They swapped posi- tions back and forth which only allowed Stokes to inch away at the front of the pack. At the beginning of the second lap, Farist was able to secure second position and he set his sights on the Suzuki in the lead, but he made a mistake in the final ninety degree corner that sent him onto the concrete and forced him to lose valuable time. Stokes kept things smooth and consistent in the lead, hitting his marks and maintaining a decent gap over the ensuing pack of rid- ers. The Georgia native was doing well to carry his momentum, but with only one lap to go he began to come under pressure from the riders behind him. Stokes was unphased by the chasing pack and continued to ride his own race, eventually grabbing the checkered flag and the final main event win of the Motofest weekend.
