He built a comfortable lead over Dungey and held it to the end. Dungey actually did chip the lead
down to about three seconds at one point but Roczen countered by pulling right back out. It was fine
first moto performance and win for the German.
Moto two was even more dominate for Ken and he got it going with a second place holeshot right behind the Dunge. Just like in moto one he made a quick aggressive move into the lead and never looked back. He checked out this time with no fits from Dungey. It was a very convincing 1-1 sweep to start the season for Roczen. He may give the credit to the pedicure he received with his girlfriend the day before the race. Sometimes it’s the little things like that bring out the energy and good vibes to go out and ride with such ease and fun. And who knows, with the way Roczen destroyed the field today, maybe Dungey and the rest of the field will think about taking the pedicure route before Glen Helen?
