Zach was ready to get some wins in American Motocross early Saturday morning as he qualified
his Husky in a strong 7th position going into the motos. When the gate dropped for racing in moto
1, Zach did not seem comfortable as he got off to a mid pack start. Surprisingly to most, Zach was not able to make any passes as the moto went on and it seemed he was looking forward to getting the weekend over with. He would finish the moto right where he started in 20th position. In the second moto, things seemed to go a little better as Zach got a decent start and was running inside the top ten early on. With twenty minutes to go, he made a bold pass for 8th and seemed to be feeling a lot better. After a few more laps, he made another pass and was sitting 7th with ten minutes to go in the moto. Suddenly, a mistake by another rider allowed Osborne and other riders to capitalize, and Zach found himself in 5th position. With only a few laps left, the 2nd place rider made a mistake which handed 4th place to Zach and that’s where he would finish his second moto of the year. He would end his day at Hangtown with an 11th overall.
