Justin Barcia’s day of racing didn’t quite go as planned. In moto 1 he got a good start right around
sixth place. He passed Bogle right as he began to fade back, moving him into fifth. He then followed suit of Bogle and fell back to 7th. Then Tomac, Anderson, and Canard passed him pushing him all the way back to ninth. Just during the last few laps he lost yet another position, to Grant, leaving him tenth overall for moto 1. Unhappy with how the first moto went he came back into moto 2 with a new attitude and more speed. He got a much better jump out of the gate putting him right into third. Unfortunately he got passed by Anderson, Tomac, and Canard again, just in a different order this go round. But his good start had him farther forward in the pack when it happened leaving him with a sixth for moto 2 and a seventh overall for the day.
