>> Dean Wilson had a very exciting week getting a phone call asking him to be on the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Team for the remainder of the season. After putting in a privateer effort for the first four rounds of the year his hard work paid off. Even though he enjoyed getting to work with his dad the new ride sent Wilson right into the direction he needed. At round five of Monster Energy Supercross the new Husqvarna rider quali- fied sixth into the night show. A confident start to a long night of racing. The first heat race didn’t go quite as smoothly as Wilson had hoped for and finished it off back in 8th place sending him to the semi’s. The semi started off a little better for the #15 of Wilson, battling it out for a transfer spot. Trying to hold onto his qualifying position the brutal track condi- tions got the best of him causing him to go down, followed by Weimer almost landing on him. Luckily he was able to recover before the LCQ where he killed it leading the race and never looking back giving himself an LCQ win for the season. The main event was chaotic with incredibly tough track conditions that were difficult physically and mentally on the riders. The main event was a constant battle with other riders for Dean Wilson. Jumping between 12th and 7th place throughout the entire race. After getting a decent jump off the start the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider was sitting around twelfth place not the best jump out of the gate but right into the mix. He quickly advanced into 7th place, but unfortunately couldn’t hold on to the position falling back to 8th. He continued to battle for his position with Bagget, Malcom Stewart, and Musquin. Things got
a little easier after Malcom made a mistake causing him to go down and then Musquin pulling off the track. Dean Wilson was able to finish off the fifth main event of the season and his first on the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna in tenth place, his best finish of the year.
