Hammaker put all of the post-Loretta’s hype in the back of his mind and learned his way around Baja Acres during Friday practice, getting faster with each progressing session. The fourth drop of the gate on Saturday released a wailing pack of Super Minis onto the sandy acres of Baja and the #51 Kawasaki led them from start to finish. He was practically unstoppable throughout Saturday and Sunday’s racing, winning all four motos that he challenged in fairly dominant fashion, using his lanky build and smooth style to carry his momentum around a track that was getting rougher and rougher by the lap.
