Hammaker’s starts helped propel him to the tremendous results he achieved on the weekend, never coming out of the first turn in a worse position than 2nd place, but that’s not to take anything away from
his speed; he had the pace to come through the pack as he demonstrated by setting the fastest lap time in four out
of six motos. The Pennsylvanian rode smart on the final day of racing and finished comfortably in 2nd place in both races, not overriding the
track and doing well to avoid costly mistakes that would lose him the overall. Hammaker ended the Brawl by earning his first two Leonidas awards in both Super Mini classes,
but he was also surprised with the
one and only Rider of the Weekend award -- a very cool LED emblazoned trophy constructed of old motorcycle parts. Hammaker is going to have to install some more trophy space in his bedroom if he keeps racking up all of this hardware, and the smart money will be on him to add to the collection at the Monster Energy Cup next month as he takes on the Super Mini class once again.
