“I’d like to start a goggle company that has mid
to high level features for
entry level prices.”
-PAUL CAMPBELL
So, you’ve just gotta gure out how you’re going to carry your phone your iPad, iPod, or whatever you’re gonna use to play music. I know Fly always
had that little pocket up front that will t
a small iPhone. I thought that would be kind of cool, but also being in Colorado with all the skiers and snowboarders that listen to music, it’s kind of a gimme. All those shops don’t really carry stuff like that very often and if they do, it’s like Beats By Dre which are awesome head- phones, but you’re spending the money for them. So, I went on the same plat- form of something that works pretty well that’s inexpensive, y’know. They retail for like $24.
Are there any new things in the works for Ican that you’d like to talk about?
On the goggle side, for ‘17 and ‘18 I added a new snow goggle that is kind of geared towards your snowmobile guys, and that one has been doing pretty well. One the sunglass line, I’ve got a couple new frames that I’m just nishing up.
I’m trying to get into a little higher end stuff. Y’know, most of my sunglasses are retailing at like $10 to $20 which is still always gonna be the platform of it, but I want to offer something that’s a little bit nicer and a little bit higher price, like the $40 to $50 range. Other than that, I’ve been working on the podium goggle and that goggle for ‘18 is gonna have another 5mm thicker foam. Nothing huge on ‘em, just new design and stuff, and there will be a limited edition. I did a 15mm thick foam on it in the past, and I did that because I didn’t want it pushed off too far from your face, so you don’t see the inside of the frame. But, some people sweat like a bad girl in church, so you need a little bit more than that.
