>> Adam Cianciarulo has had an up and down season so far. Only able to grab a few moto finishes on the podium, he has yet to get an overall podium finish. Getting close
a few times, it has been a struggle to put together two consecutive good motos for the young Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider. Riding confidently in qualifying, Cian- ciarulo was once again the fastest rider heading into the motos. Ready to put it together in the motos, he put the power to the ground out of the gate right away putting himself into 5th around the first turn. Fired up for the first moto, he was looking fast on the slick Washington track. Making his way by Mitchell Harrison and Dylan Ferrandis just five laps into the moto he was up to 3rd place. Clutching onto his podium spot he continued to ride smart gaining time on the riders in front of him. At the halfway point he caught up to Sean Cantrell, staying focused he stole the line away and made another pass up to 2nd. With a lot of time between him and 1st place, the Kawasaki rider kept charging but was unable to make any more passes finishing off moto one with a second place finish. Moto two was time to put it all together and get another solid finish for that overall podium spot. Launching out of the gate he got another great start right into 3rd place, paving the road for success, Cianciarulo was in a good position early on in the moto. Keeping consis- tent he ran 3rd for the entire first half and then some of the moto. As time ran out, Zach Osborne began closing the gap on Cianciarulo, eventually getting the pass pushing him out of the podium spot. As results were the Kawasaki rider would have reached his first podium of the season, but on the last lap, Dylan Ferrandis came out of nowhere making the pass on him. Now in 5th and only a few sections of the track left, Cianciarulo gave it his all but wasn’t able to get the pass back finishing off the second moto in 5th. Going 2-5 for the day he fell just short of the podium with a 4th overall.
