>> Jeremy Martin started out the 2017 season near the top, but the momentum has slowly begun to fade. After some not so good finishes, Martin has a fire lit and is working hard to get himself back to the top of the box. Heading into round 9 of the season the Geico Honda rider has been putting in the work each week to improve his results. Qualifying 6th fastest for the day it was looking to be a good day for the young Martin brother. When the gate dropped for moto one, he pulled the trigger and put himself right into 11th out of the first turn. Not in the best posi- tion at the start of the race Martin made the best of it, keeping close to the riders in front of him. On the third lap, he passed Ames moving up to 10th place. As the rest of the race played out the Geico Honda rider moved up one more position into 9th before the moto finished. Improving his start a little in the second moto, Martin was in 9th into the first turn. Fixing his mistakes from moto one, he was able to move forward faster working his way up to 7th behind Colt Nichols just a couple laps into the race. Around the half way marker, the door opened for Martin to make the pass into 6th. Holding onto the position until the checkered flag was waving. Finishing the day going 9-6, Jeremy Martin finished with a 7th overall for round nine.
