>> Luke Renzland graduated out of the amateur ranks with the help of the Cycle Trader Yamaha team. Luke was able to secure support from this team with his amaz- ing performances at Americas highest ranked amatuer national (Loretta Lynn’s).
Luke started to make great performances at LL’s in 2010 when he took home the School Boy 1 title and a 3rd in 250 B. Luke Competed at Loretta’s for the next 3 years and never finished worse then 3rd overall. Those results gave him support from the Yamaha squad while transitioning to the professional ranks. Since then @lukeren- zland50 has not been able to produce the results that the team expected of him and the two parted ways last year. Renzland was able to find a new home under the Traders Racing team. At that time the team was equipped with Kawasaki’s. Luke put in good results while racing for the team and the pair have continued to work together into 2017 but the Traders team made the switch the Yamaha’s.
Now that Renzland is back on a familiar machine with the support of the Traders team his results have started to unravel. So far this year Luke has 3 top 10 moto finishes with a career best at Red Bud where he finished a very impressive 6th in the second moto.
After struggling a week ago at Spring Creek Renzland came into Washougal with a sense of vengeance as he nearly got two top 10 finishes (in one weekend) which he has yet to do. After the first lap of moto one Renzland found himself hovering around 15th position. It took the #50 a while to get around some of his competitors but in
the second portion of the race he was able to pass up to 12th. Renzland got a top ten start in race two and was running 9th for much of the race until he got passed by McElrath. A few valuable keys are missing in Renzlands pocket in order for him to fin- ish inside the top 10 consecutively but it seems like himself and his team are working hard to get it figured out.
