>> Bradley Taft joined the professional ranks a week after finishing up his amateur career at the Loretta Lynns national where he took home the 450 A championship. Brad went 26-12 at his first round of professional racing aboard his Rock River Yamaha and scored a total of 41 points in the final three rounds that remained in the series. Technically Taft is now in his second year of racing professionally but being as he only raced 3 rounds in 2016 I would have to say 2017 is his rookie year. Sadly things have not been going to plan for the #74 as he has only finished inside of the top 15 five times this year and two of those finishes where this weekend at round 9 in Washougal.
When the field came around the opening lap at Washougal Taft was running an impressive 6th. Brad ran upfront for the first ten minutes of the race before he started to drop positions dramatically. After twenty minutes of racing the Rock River Yamaha rider was pushed to 14th where he finished. In the second moto @btaft74 started 13th and only dropped back one position to finish 14th once again. This has been Brads best round in my opinion in 2017, two consistent fin- ishes and both inside of the top 15. Three rounds remain and they are at the only tracks that Bradley has raced on, can he get himself into the top ten.
