>> The #70 of Dakota Alix started to get a lot of publicity from the moto media when he was the privateer KTM rider who would get the major-
ity of holeshots in the 250 supercross class. Alix was KTM’s top priva- teer in the Supercross series and when KTM’s merger team aka Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WPS KTM had a injured rider (Benny Bloss) the team decided to go out on a limb and offer Dakota a fill in position. Over the Supercross season that the team and Alix spent together they build a bond and with Davi Millsaps getting surgery on both of his wrists before the motocross season started the team decided to give Alix another fill in position just this time in the 450 class. This is Dakota’s first time com- peting in the 450 class and so far Dakota is sitting 15th in points. Unfor- tunately the #70 hasn’t been getting his patented holeshots so far but
he is starting to get comfortable on the 450 machine and its showing in his riding. Moto #1 the Ktm rider of Alix was running inside of the top 20 and was upto 15th after 6 minutes fo racing. Just after the Midway point Dakota got himself to 13th by Mosiman before finishing 14th. Alix’s start in race two was much better but still was far away from a holeshot. Fol- lowing the opening laps Dakota was 15th, sadly a mistake happened to the KTM rider and he was dropped outside of point positions. Suddenly Alix started to pick off riders all over the track, almost every lap the #70 gained a position or two. Alix made his last pass on the day against Mosi- man once again for 14th position. 14-14 for 13th overall is something to build off for the 450 rookie.
