>> After sitting the first four rounds out of the Lucas Oil Pro Moto- cross Championship Trey Canard decided he was in good enough condition to enter the series. Trey originally was set to make his debut at round 6 in Michigan next weekend but after doing some testing he felt like he was ready to return a week early. Not only is it Treys first time racing this year but it is his first time racing a moto- cross track with his new KTM team. The weekend was a success and Canard showed the world that he still has the speed to run with the best of them. TC41 used his great starting technique to make his first race back that much easier on himself. In moto one he started in 5th position and began to loose positions rapidly. Trey regained his composure and held on strong for a tenth place finish. When
the 450 machines raced to the first turn in moto two it looked as if Trey was going to lead the field. Canard just narrowly missed out on getting some holeshot cash and came around turn one just behind Tomac but was quickly pushed to 3rd by Bogle. Justin Bogle fell while lead and Trey inherited 2nd position. This time around Trey was able to hold down a podium position for ten minutes before fa- tigue started to kick in. At the midway point Treys lap times dropped back by nearly two full seconds. After battling inside of the top ten for most of the race Trey finished 11th. It was refreshing to see the #41 back out on the track. Once Canards conditioning replenishes he could become a big spoiler in the 2017 season.
