He avoided a crash, but started the race in dead last. He would put in a great effort passing back up to 8th place, but simply did not have enough time to catch the rider in the qualifying position. Jake
was forced to go to the LCQ where he finished 2nd and advanced to the main event. A bad
gate pick did not get Jake the start he was looking for in the main event. Starting towards the
back of the pack, Jake worked his way forward once again and finished a respectable 12th
place overall.
