Some would say that Cole Blecha had a break- out year in 2018, living up to his true potential at a lot of the bigtime events throughout the season. It was a rare occurrence if the Colo- rado native missed out on the podium and it became a common sight to see him on the
top of the box, proving to his competitors and spectators alike that all the hard work is paying off. Blecha came away with a number one plate at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship, the California Classic, and he collected two titles at the Motoplayground Race at Ponca City. Additionally, he ended up with a second place overall finish at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Championship in August, doing more
than enough over the course of the season to prove that he was one of the top 51cc riders across the United States throughout 2018.
In 2019, Blecha faces a new challenge as
he begins to dedicate more time to the 65cc machine and his first big challenge came at the Supercross Futures in Glendale, Arizona. The Colorado native rolled into State Farm Stadium with loads of confidence following the most successful year of his amateur career to date, but he’s still eager to improve. The KTM rider put his best foot forward during practice and sent a message to his competitors that he was going to be the man to beat, looking incred- ibly consistent and confident on the track. He
