Eil Tomac established himself as the top dog in Phoenix and Justin Barcia and Ken Roczen resurfaced to the podium after an off weekend at Anaheim 2. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider pulled another holeshot, proving that he has put his start woes behind
him with the introduction of the new metal grates behind the gate this year. It was a relatively processional race for the winner, but the battle that took place behind him was one for the ages. In a throwback
to their time spent in the 250 class, Barcia and Roczen
had a titanic duel for second
and third position that lasted until the checkered ag. The massive University of Phoenix stadium lent itself to a great track design and great racing. There was a treacherous sand corner that claimed multiple victims, a massively long
