Kawasaki’s Lance Kobusch on his way to a second place finish. Stack bounced back in the following 450 A moto, charging to the front of the pack
on his way to the victory. The Yamaha rider blasted down the start straight and found himself within the top three, but he wasn’t satisfied sitting
behind the leaders. He laid down the fastest lap of the race and stormed his way to the front of the field by the fourth lap, eventually pulling a two
and a half second lead at the checkered flag over Kevin Moranz. The races would be a little more grueling for the pro class on Sunday given the
addition of an early morning practice session as well as two more motos, but Stack welcomed the additional track time and it ultimately worked in
his favor. After dialing in his YZ250F during the early morning practice session, he put forth one of his most impressive performances of the entire
weekend in the 250 A class. The Yamaha rider shot out to a third place start behind Lance Kobusch and Justin Rodbell, and the three of them
rode wheel-to-wheel for the opening two laps. At the halfway point of the race, Stack was able to force the issue and leap from third to first, setting the fastest lap of the race in the process. He was able to manage his lead until the checkered flag and took the upper hand in the 250 A class heading into the final moto. Shortly thereafter, the eighteen year old had a stellar ride in the first 250 Pro AM moto where he battled back from a mediocre start to a second place finish behind Joey Crown. In his final two motos of the day, Stack earned another pair of podiums in the 450 A and Open Pro Sport classes, keeping him in the contention for the overall heading into Monday. The South Carolina native’s consistency shined through on the final day of racing at the Brawl, securing a second place finish in all four of his motos, therefore earning himself a pair of titles in the 250 A and 250 Pro AM classes. In addition to the two number one plates, Stack also brought home a second place overall in finish in both 450 A and Open Pro Sport, but that wasn’t all -- Stack also collected the GPF Hammer Down Award, as the most impressive rider of the 2017 Baja Brawl, garnishing his weekend with a cherry on top.
