training. It was apparent throughout the week that when the track was at its roughest, Ryan was at his fastest. The first day of racing pitted him against fellow Kawasaki rider and Team Green standout, Nate Thrasher, and the two of them swapped moto wins between both Supermini classes. They both maintained a similar speed throughout the weekend, making the race to the first corner more crucial than usual, as both riders competed for each moto win. Ryan snagged his first victory of the weekend in the opening Supermini 2 moto after pulling the holeshot in commanding fashion, subsequently taking advantage of the clear track to pull a gap on the field. Sunday was a flawless day of racing for the Californian as he put together a pair of holeshots and a pair of dominant moto victories ahead of the competition, therefore placing him in the
driver’s seat for both overall victories heading into the final day of racing. Although he traded fast lap times with Thrasher throughout Sunday’s
motos, it was obvious that Ryan had a clear cut advantage as the passing of the weekend continued to produce a roughening track. He was able to maintain his consistency on the final day of racing, stamping his authority on the Supermini class with his fourth moto win of the Brawl, consequently earning himself a title in the Supermini 1 class. The Californian shot out to another exceptional holeshot and held his composure all the way to the checkered flag by holding off the charging Team Green ride of Thrasher, but he hardly had time to celebrate before preparing for the next race in the Supermini 2 class. He approached the contest with a veteran mindset, fully understanding that he didn’t need to win the moto in order to win the overall. Ryan found himself behind Thrasher in the early stages of the race, setting the fastest lap time on his first flying lap, but he decided to sit back in second place and play it safe, securing his second championship of the weekend in the process.
