Liebeck instantly established himself as one of the fastest riders on the 85 throughout Friday’s practice sessions; it was glaringly obvious the way that he attacked the track that he was carrying some serious speed through the deep Michiganian sands. The KTM rider put himself at an immediate advantage in the overall standings on the first day of racing action, claiming the victory in the 85 (9-13) class as well as the Mini Sr. 1 class. He made things easy on himself with a holeshot in the Mini Sr. 1 class, but his most impressive ride of the day came in the 85 (9-13) class after a third place start left him some work to do before the checkered flag. Liebeck took control of the race on the first flying lap by storming past Team Green Kawasaki’s Nick Romano on his way to the front of the field, subsequently setting the fastest lap of the race in the process. Once he was able to accumulate a multiple second lead, Liebeck relied on his consistency and composure to bring him to the checkered flag in first position. The Wisconsin native continued his winning ways on the second day of racing with another pair of moto victories; a first place in the 85 (9-13) class as well as a first place in the Mini Sr. 2 class. His most impressive asset throughout the weekend was arguably his consistency as he notched another podium finish in the Mini Sr. 1 class, putting him at the forefront of the battle for the overall heading into the final day of motos. Liebeck did exactly what he needed to do on Monday with a trio of podium finishes, therefore clinching the title in the 85 (9-13) class as well as the Mini Sr. 1 class. He rode each and every race with a point to prove, setting the fastest lap time in all three of his races on the final day of the Brawl as he cemented himself as one of the top riders on the 85 heading into the final stages of the 2017 season.
