CHRISTOPHER BLACKMER
KILPATRICK
Christopher Blackmer has flown under the radar in the amateur motocross ranks throughout the past couple of years. The Michigan native had yet to land a top fifteen overall finish at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch throughout his amateur career until 2017 when he earned a fourth place overall in the Mini Sr. 2 class. He put himself on the map at the end of 2016 with a couple of solid overall results at Mini-O’s, consistently finishing inside the top ten. He stayed relatively quiet throughout the year, avoiding most of the major nationals, but he was more than ready when he showed up for the week of racing at Loretta Lynn’s. Blackmer’s hard work and dedication finally paid off at the Ranch, but it doesn’t stop there as he comes into the 2017 Baja Brawl with more confidence than ever before in his program. The fifteen year old is one of many Michigan natives racing at Baja Acres, providing him with the hometown advantage against his rivals. Lil C decided to contest the Mini Sr. 2 class as well as both Supermini 2 classes at the Brawl, competing against some of the riders that he went head-to-head with only a couple of months ago in Tennessee. Blackmer’s maturity was evident in his riding style as well as his results as he gradually improved throughout the weekend.
