Justin made his way into a respectable 2nd place and was doing everything he could to stay in front of Tomac. After an enticing battle, Eli finally made the pass stick. Barcia now set his focus on keeping the podium position as they neared the halfway point. With three laps to go, Barcia began to feel the pressure from Musquin. He was able to turn it up just a bit and maintain 3rd place all the way to the end. His finishes were good enough for 2nd overall, his best of the year.
