They battled hard and Brad was able to temporarily make a postion before getting stuck in a rut going
up one of the hills. He would now try to regroup and was sitting in 5th. Taft began to feel the effects of 30 minutes +2 as he began to shuffle back once again. He was sitting 10th by the halfway point and doing everything he could to hang on to the finish. He ended up with a respectable 12th to achieve 13th overall at Budds Creek.
