It was a sled full of white Husky’s as the first 250 moto sprang from the gate. Mushing with Zach Osborne
in 7th, Davalos nipped at the heels of the 16 in eighth position. The two were separated by near inches, as they held a mainstay in the field of talent, Davalos, leapfrogging to seventh a few laps in. He would remain consistent throughout the majority of the moto, until the seven minute mark, when the heat of RJ Hampshire’s Geico Honda was just too much, and Davalos would hand over the keys to the seventh position Eighth now, Cooper Webb’s first turn crash would allow an unfamiliar foe at Davalos’ back door. Knocking and kicking with all his might, Martin was forced to led the intruder in, and take the position away. After all was said and done, Davalos would take ninth position. A solid start to moto number two, put just outside the top ten, and peeking in, while he sat eleventh. Although battling with some of the top tier talent for a good portion of the moto,
a mistake would push the veteran back to the low twenty’s. Battling the likes of fresher, eager prospects, Davalos would have his work cut out for him, although presenting a modest effort to the checkered flag. He
would end the day with 9-20 scores, and a 16th place overall finish.
