>> Jace Owen came into the seventh round of the AMSOIL Arenacross series
as the points leader, therefore making him the man to beat. He didn’t have a spectacular night by his standards as he finished off the podium in the first main event, but he still managed to put in a champion caliber performance by salvag- ing valuable points, therefore maintaining his points lead over his training partner and main rival, Gavin Faith. Things began to come together in the latter stages of the racing program, but the first main event started sour for the Honda rider as he suffered from a poor start. He was forced to battle back through the pack and eventually fought his way to fourth position, putting himself in a decent position in the overall scheme of results. Owen came out firing in the second main event as he ripped one of his trademark holeshots and led the race from start to finish, managing to earn himself second place overall.
