Jayce Pennington
ARENACROSS
MAGE / KILPATRICK WORDS / KILPATRICK DESIGN / WILSON
>> Jayce Pennington has had a few minor setbacks so far on his Road to Supercross,
but things finally came together for the rider out of Illinois on the first day of Motofest. He looked at one with his machine from the first lap of practice to the last lap of racing; jump- ing rhythms with confidence, down-siding all of his landings with relative perfection, and tearing out of the starting gate with precise reaction times. Although Pennington contested the Lites class and the AX class, he really shone bright in the Lites class. The Yamaha rider dialed in his starts throughout the day of practice and put it to good use in his heat race, taking an early lead and never looking back. He was able to carry that momentum directly into the Lites main event and do the same thing over again, pulling a relatively uncontested holeshot and clicking away the laps. Pennington was simply the best rider in the Lites class throughout the entire day as he oozed confidence every time he hit the track, deservedly taking home the first place trophy at the end of the night.
