>> After his incredible breakthrough ride at Unadilla last weekend, all eyes were on the number 191 machine of Justin Cooper as he lined up for round eleven of twelve at Budd’s Creek in Mechanicsville, Maryland. The gates for the first moto dropped and the young rider out of New York rocketed down the short start straight and came flying out of the sharp 180 degree first turn, avoiding a pile up, in the eighth place spot. With quite a bit of rain during
the week, track conditions were unpredictable and constantly transform-
ing beneath the men and their machines. As expected, Justin Cooper kept composure and spent a majority of the race within the top ten, but toward the end of the race he unfortunately lost a few spots and crossed the finish line in the fourteenth place position. With a fourteenth in the first moto, Cooper was looking for another solid start that he could work with in the second moto. The thirty-second card went up, the gate dropped, and, with the season dwindling to a close, the air within the valley was filled with an impermeable electric energy. Justin Cooper was off to another quality start as he and forty other riders came ricocheting down the start. Moving into the eighth place spot early, Cooper turned the focus on and stayed strong and consistent through and though. The checkered flag flew and Justin Cooper was able to seize a commendable eighth place finish in the second moto of the day. With a 14-8 for the day, Cooper was able to leave Maryland with an eleventh place over- all. These results may not have been exactly what Justin Cooper was looking for after his incredible ride at Unadilla, but we all know what this young rider is capable of.
