>> Canadian rider Dylan Wright made his presence known this weekend at Budd’s Creek. All eyes might not have been on the number 223 machine when the riders were lining up for the first 250 moto of the day but they were definitely watching when he avoided first turn carnage and came rocketing out of the first corner in the ninth place position. Wright was in the heat of the battle as he moved forward into eight place, but by the halfway point he had dropped back to, a still impressive, eleventh place spot. The MX101/ FXR Yamaha/ Rockstar Energy rider stayed consistent and steady on the constantly evolving track
and was able to finish the first moto in the thirteenth place position. Riders and mechanics buzzed around the starting gate as spectators watched from beneath the scenic Southern Maryland foliage, ready for the second moto of the day.
The athlete’s eyes were fixated on the thirty-second card before directing their vision to the starting gate, and then they were off. Dylan Wright was off to an- other excellent start as he came careening out of the sharp first turn in thirteenth place. Wright was able to move into the twelfth place position for a couple of laps but he ultimately maintained his thirteenth place spot and crossed the finish line only three places outside of the very prestigious top ten. We can all agree that Dylan Wright put on a great ride in Maryland this weekend. With consistency in his corner, he was able to leave The Creek with 13-13 finishes, resulting in a commendable thirteenth place overall finish.
