>> After a DNS last weekend in the second moto at Unadilla, Sean Cantrell arrived in Maryland ready to take on both motos and, with only two rounds remaining in the season, give it all he’s got. The number 129 machine lined up amongst his competitors looking for a start that he could capitalize on.
The gates dropped and this Murrieta, California native flew down the start straight, flawlessly avoiding the first turn carnage, and found himself in the tenth place position early in the race. By the halfway point, Cantrell was in a very solid eighth place. The Troy Lee Designs/ Redbull/ KTM rider may have lost a couple of positions, but he really dug deep and stayed smooth in on the challenging terrain, finishing the first moto in an impressive tenth place spot. The second moto was sure to be nothing short of exhilarating as the forty fastest riders and their dirtbikes lined up all in search of the same goal. With the season coming to a close very soon, everything was on the line as the thirty-second card went up. Gates dropped and Sean Cantrell came out of the first turn in nineteenth place. With the track conditions worsening and physical stamina running out, the second moto of the day is always a bit more chal- lenging for riders. Cantrell was able to move into the eighteenth place position early in the race and he stayed in that spot until the checkered flag flew. With a 10-18 under his belt, Sean Cantrell left Budd’s Creek with a fourteenth place overall. I hope to see more top ten action out of Cantrell next weekend for the twelfth and final round of the series.
