#47 thomas hahn- tommy had an alright night finishing just inside the top 15. it looked like the
older hahn brother had a hard time making his way through the pack on the very fast paced Phoe- nix track. after a bad start in his heat race tommy was only able to crawl up to 9th position and was
forced to race the semi’s. T.Hahn was placed in the second semi race of the night where he got a 5th place start and was in the last transfer position. There was a 3 rider battle for the last qualifying spot between Nicoletti (4th), Hahn (5th), and Boppin (6th). Tommy was in the final transfer position and starting to feel the heat from Lawson when he made a good pass on Phil for reassur- ance and finished 4th in his semi. With a mid pack start Tommy was in 10th position at the end of lap 1, but quickly fell back to 13th by lap 3. Tommy was behind his little brother Wil for much of the first half of the moto. Unfortunately the #47 wasn’t able to match Wil’s speed and got pushed back to 15th place. Tommy is getting used to the 450 class and his new team, and I look forward to him regrouping and getting stronger every weekend.
